whoever's name is written on the death note will die

Light kept repeating it in his head. His astonishment towards the death grew after weeks of using it. He turned on the news, wrote new criminal names in perfect writing and listened as the anchormen and women announced sudden deaths and heart attacks.

FROM THE TV

"We have breaking news, a suspected murderer dies after being captured by policemen earlier this evening. We believe it has been another death caused by Kira."

"Haha...fools. They still have no idea that it's me. I can't even believe my own father would let me be part of the investigation. My plan's working perfectly" Light murmers to himself. He turns the TV off. Hides the death note in his desk drawer and bring out a book and begins to read. Then, a sudden knock on the door disturbed him.

His perfect observation skills drew him to his conclusion, "Sayu, go away!" he yells.

"How'd you know it was me?" Sayu questions as her face drew a confused look.
"Nobody I know knocks once, then twice, then once...except you. It's quite obvious, really" he brags.

"Well, anyways...big brother, someone wants to see you downstairs." Sayu says.
"Who is it?" Light asks.
"I dunno. It's some strange guy who's eating a lollipop and looks like he hasn't bathed in years and also seems kind of DARK to me"

Light is stunned. All of the characteristics Sayu said described L perfectly. Light stood up with no hesitation, opened the door, not minding his sister and goes down the stairs like a happy little kid at christmas. He stops at the bottom of the staircase and stares at what looks like a plate full of candies and chocolate milk.

"Light, dear, I believe this is your friend from school." Light's mom says

Light then looks over the couch to take a look at the face of the "guest"

"Hello, Light. Remember me?" the guest asks nicely. Light just looks at him and whispers..."L-kun"

"What did you say, honey?" Light's mom asks him. "I-I said nothing, mom" He defends. "Mom, I believe this is..."

"Ryuuzaki. It's nice to finally be in the house of the famous Mr. Yagami" L says as he puts his strawberry lollipop back in his mouth. "Ryuuzaki, can you please go upstairs so we can. TALK." Light tells L. L got off his odd sitting position and started going up the stairs with his signature awful back.

As Light closes the door behind L, he locks the doorknob and starts asking L questions while still facing the door.

"Why are you here, L?" Light starts
"I just wanted to visit you. Is that a problem?" says L while he sits on Light's bed with his legs on his chest and thumb on his lip.
"I know you have a different intention of being here..." and Light hurridly goes to where L is, with his hands on L's shoulders yelling, "WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!"

There was a long silence. L's lollipop was thrown to the ground and his head looking down on his feet. Until L finally spoke.

"I-I...Light..." he kept skipping
"You what? C'mon! I don't have all night here!!" he shouted with an angry face and then L just yelled at him "I JUST WANTED TO SEE YOU CUZ I THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTE!!!" and Light widened his eyes and moved back a step. Leaving L in the same position he was in earlier.

L covers his mouth. His eyes started getting teary. But he stopped as he went back to his usual "dark" self.

"Look, Light. I may have shocked you but you don't have to say anything. What I've got to say is this..." and he walks towards shocked Light and kisses him on the lips. Light wasn't reacting to the kiss. So when L finally escaped Light's lips, he was about to unlock the bedroom door until Light grabbed his arm and hugged him tightly.

"Haha." Light giggled "and I thought you were genius" L just looked confused and played with his fingers....

Light put his hand on L's cheek and was leaning towards him. Light whispered in L's ear "I think you're cute too." and then kissed him passionately. This leaving all emotions said.

"I knew something was going on..." Sayu whispers in the hall as she listened to the two boy's kiss in the room in front of her. "...those two are SO predictable"
