uhm do you use the wand tool to select areas? you shouldn't do so, because then you have these unsuitable white lines around the black outlines ^^;

it's quite easy: create a new layer and set it to 'Multiply'. now, when you draw the colours, the outlines will still be visible ^^ of course then you must be more careful to colour the areas properly because you don't have the selection any more. but then the outlines will look much more better! ^^
